Part 2

Italy / USA

( The 2nd Time Though The Simulation )

2000 - 2005

In December 1999, on the eve of the new millennium, Loid traveled to Europe and Italy for the first time when he was 27 years old.

By the next Fall Loid left the house he built over a waterfall and he was living in Rome, Italy.

On a cold night in December, after a few months living in Rome, he found himself at the capital in a ancient Roman cruising park littered with 2000 year old marble columns. That night Loid met an Italian guy that would become his boyfriend for the next decade.

The Actor from Italy

was a theater actor and teacher of high school drama with a million friends and everyone loved him. He acted in small theatrical productions and was always surrounded by crazy actors, artists and Agents of The Conspiracy. He hated being on stage but somehow he was always the center of attention. With him every weekend in Italy there was something to do. Always some party... or dinner... or rehearsal... or event... or something... always something as Loid followed his boyfriend and tried to figure out how to understand everyone and be understood. The beginning was difficult because of the language and culture differences.  His boyfriend's crazy Italian friends became Loid's friends and that made Loid feel less crazy.

Loid needed a job that could be done from anywhere in the world.

At Agent Oded's suggestion Loid taught himself Web Design over a few months.  After 3 short low paying temp Web Design jobs he landed his dream job. Working remotely for the wife of Albert Einstein, at her company LIGHTRAY,  Loid's light speed journey though space and time had began to accelerate.  Traveling at such incredible speed his life suffered the consequences of a "Special" Theory of Relativity that revealed to him the relativity of ALL things in this world. Time spent in foreign lands forced him to confront, adjust and accept various contradictory social/cultural operating systems. The side effects of this light speed journey made him question reality and all he grew up believing and all that he took for granted about this world.

The Italian experience lasted 10 years.

"Don't be naive Loid. Love isn't real.  Love doesn't exist. Love is just the nice way to describe how people use each other to get what they want.  When you're not getting what you want you simply move on to someone else."

is the theory that all of reality, including the Earth and the universe could be in fact an artificial simulation — for example by quantum computer simulation — indistinguishable from “true” reality.  It could contain conscious minds which may or may not be fully aware that they are living inside a simulation. This is a proposed technology so advanced that it would seem realistic enough to convince its inhabitants the simulation was real.
